The House of Horvath cigar-making process is best described as “machine-assisted”, with experienced cigar makers (averaging 20 years experience each) performing their craft using cigar machines to roll tobacco to perfection. From moistening tobacco to prepare for stemming, to the delicate process of stretching and laying tobacco leaf wrapper, to thorough inspections of quality, the complete H Of H process always results in a balanced, aromatic and great tasting cigar.

Established in 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenez, La Aurora claims the title as the first Dominican cigar factory. Today their brands are sold in over 60 countries worldwide. Since then the Garcia Family has opened up a seven-acre factory in Esteli Nicaragua, Don Pepin Garcia has been called “America’s Hottest Cigar Maker” by Cigar Aficionado, and their Flor De Las Antillas cigar took Cigar Of The Year in 2012. Among their popular releases are My Father La Opulencia, My Father Le Bijou 1922 and My Father The Judge.

Based in Santiago of the Dominican Republic with family roots in  Spain and Cuba, Quesada have been making premium cigars since 1974 and have manufactured internationally recognized brands such as Casa Magna, Quesada and Vega Magna. Today Manolo Quesada runs a family operated business with a factory of over 300 people that keep the tradition of making premium cigars by using only the finest tobacco and the same time-honored methods of the Quesada forbearers.

Swisher traces back to 1861 in Newark Ohio. In 1923 Swisher was first to use rolling machines which transformed the industry by cost-effectively producing cigars of great uniformity. In 1958, the famous Swisher Sweets brand was created and by 1964 they was making four million cigars a day. Today, Swisher owns many iconic brands of both machine- and hand-made processes, and has headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida and manufacturing operations in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

Tabacalera Palma is one of the oldest tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic, originally established by the Blanco family in 1936. Today, it is run by Jose “Jochy” Blanco, who has endured hard work to grow the family tobacco business since the early 1980’s. Manifatture Sigaro Toscano S.P.A. is a company that produces an Italian cigar that has the strength of over 200 years of history. Established in Florence, Toscano cigars became known as ‘The Sharing Cigar’ as it gained acclaim for its trademark rugged texture and a unique shape featuring smaller ends of the cigar with a larger middle. As a result, the cigars are often cut in half and can be enjoyed with a friend. Currently, Toscanos are made of high quality fermented tobacco from Kentucky and Italy.
